Who has lived in a major city has probably their challenges with the small bedroom.
I frankly prefer smaller bedroom than larger ones because they are cozier and you don’t have to waste money on furnishing it with seating area no one ever uses.
Check out these 8 simple ways to make the most of your small bedroom.
You have two options either place your bed with the main wall or you just want to show your art and craft skills on your main wall you can just place your bed against it.
Just keep in mind to put the bed in the center of the wall, rather just pushing it one side up against the side wall.
You must have room to move on either side of the bed which is good for room flow and give you space to make your bed.
If your bedroom is small you are not limited to whites or neutrals.
When it comes to color small bedroom wall I say embrace the size and moodiness of small room and play to it.
Throw some charcoal gray or navy blue or olive green can be chic and sexy. Make your bedroom warm, cozy and soothing space with the touch of privacy to it.
When you go for moody tone or stick to a crisp pale shed, adding plenty of light is the key to keeping room out of feeling dark and claustrophobic.
The light source is preferred to be natural but for the night you can use overhead lighting like a pendant or chandelier other than table lamps or floor lamps.
Because they spread light evenly in the room and also they save you some space.
Now you can say that calming and minimalism is all the rage now.
But I can’t sleep in all white room. If your bedroom walls have white or neutral color just pick blues and grays opposed to warm tones and vice versa.
Little pops of color in your bedroom would make you happier.
A smaller space doesn’t mean small furniture. You can buy normal-size furnishings for small space.
It can be more functional and useful yet can make you feel your bedroom bigger.
Pick the pieces that can do double duty or you can pick multi-functional furniture.
Hanging curtains and clothes as close to the ceiling as possible is a design trick that actually works.
It will bring the heaviness and the eye up. While we are at it.
Another trick to pick curtains is to match the fabric to the wall color. It is modern, minimal and yes it won’t distract you by contrasting colors.
The bigger room won’t make a difference if it’s crowded with stuff.
Another way that won’t cost you any money is to keep your room clean and remove unused items or defining space for an area that is not been used till now.
Like what is the use of sitting area in the bedroom?
Frankly, you can have a chair if you want but no need to have multiple chairs in your bedroom. Organize your room its one-time work but worth it.
Bring the outdoors in your small bedroom.
As we know the green color is good for eyes and using houseplants can make the stuffy room feel fresh and provide a natural positive atmosphere.
I’ve used potted indoor trees in the bedroom. One can use a fig tree can bring the eye up.
